PREPARE

What you need

Prepare the Waveshare ESP32-S3 Touch AMOLED 1.91-inch board with the required “with touch” option, a data-capable USB cable, and desktop Chrome or Edge.

The case will be provided for the “with soldered pin” version with soldered pin headers.

GPIO PIN MAP

Footswitch (FS) and I²C pin locations

The Micro reference pin map shows the FS1–FS6 inputs together with I²C SDA and SCL. Select FS 1–6 or I²C to highlight the corresponding GPIOs and pin locations.

Put Micro in download mode

OFFICIAL FIRMWARE

Install MAKIO firmware

Open the GLASSHALF Firmware page, select MAKIO MICRO, download and verify the official firmware, then select the USB device and start the initial installation. Do not disconnect USB during installation.

OPEN FIRMWARE INSTALLER

CONNECT

Connect to KEMPER PROFILER

After installation, disconnect Micro from the computer. Use a data-capable USB-A-to-C cable to connect KEMPER PROFILER USB-A to Micro USB-C.
